1962, throwing the shot-put for Arizona State
Heavyweight lifting championship for the State of Arizona for 1962. I came in second. In 1963, I was first.
David Kiyonaga (my partner, saluting in the background) and I, in a truly historic moment, filing the last law suit in the U.S. District Court of the Canal Zone . Dave and I made a great team. At our zenith, shortly before the Court's closure, we filed more than half of all the civil cases in the Canal Zone. Hopefully, Pierce and Kiyonaga will re-incarnate some day soon, via some international scandal i.e. -- Bernie Madoff, Stanford Bank, or the UBS tax evasion scandal.
A very painful moment with my 8th degree dan Hapkido instructor, Master Song Il Bak.
Here I am, on a windy, cold day, looking down on Toledo, Spain -- in November, 2008. This was my fourth trip to Spain, where my firm and the firm of Brent Coon & Associates of Houston, represent clients in the tragic Spanair crash at Barajas Airport in Madrid.
I have traveled several times to China, since 2005, to work with the Lehman, Lee and Xu firm on the China Eastern air crash in Baotou, Inner Mongolia. Benton Musslewhite, one of my law partners in this case, and his lovely wife Rosa, enjoyed a beautiful, but nippy Sunday, walking on the Great Wall of China.
