Michael Charles Pierce graduated as a Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska and later obtained a post-graduate degree from the Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management. Most of his international law work has focused on admiralty, aviation, environmental, and human rights law.  He has lectured in law schools in Panama, India, and Peru on international cross-border issues.  He is a founding member of the Global Justice Forum, the American Chamber of Commerce in Panama, and Panama West Rotary Club.

Pierce's goal is to build the Pierce Global and Latinlaw networks, and to work with like-minded lawyers, and green corporations in Latin green development projects.

Pierce Global recently associated with the Panamanian lawfirm of Carreira-Pitti in two important environmental and toxic tort cases. One case, extensively covered by the the New York Times is the poisoning of Panamanian by Diethylene Glycol.  This poison was mistakenly mixed with cough medicine and distributed by Panama's Social Security.  At least 500 Panamanians have died from this deadly mistake. We have already filed a lawsuit in Spain and plan soon to file suit, here in Panama, against the Chinese corporations involved in this tragedy.  We also represent over 5,000 Ngobe-Bugle (Panamanian indigenous natives).  Our lawsuit has been filed, against Petroterminales de Panama, for their negligence in a 5,000+ barrel crude oil spill in the Ngobe's beautiful Bay of Chiriqui.
